Get Blogging!

Hi Peeps!
I’ve been out of blogging-commission for a while, but I’m back!  Hi!

I’ve actually been agonizing over the fact that I’m a total novice when it comes to the blog and social networking world and I’ve been doing the thing that I normally do which is to try to take more classes, talk to more people, do more “things” in order to try to learn how to blog.  I’ve been doing everything EXCEPT actually blogging.  Go figure, eh?  Sometimes the most obvious solution is right in front of your face, huh?

Isn’t that funny how sometimes we try to do sooooo much in other areas to get “better” at something when really alls we need to do is practice the thing that we want to get better at?  Like the example a bunch of self-help gurus give all the time which is driving a car.  At first we sucked at it.  We had to think about every move, but now we can drive, talk on our cell phone, chat with our neighboring passenger and eat all at the same time.

So, I’m going to be taking my own advice that I give others and I’ll be actively working on two of my goals (amongst the many that I have) which are:

(1) Be Fearless.  Take some kind of action towards whatever it is that is fearful for me or is holding me back.

and

(2) Populate GoalGetterGirls.com with valuable and helpful content.  Begin doing whatever it takes to start infusing GoalGetterGirls.com with cool tips, tools, tricks and trainings to help you transform your life to get the results that you want.

Am I going to be helpful and brilliant all the time?  I’d like to think so, but, hellz, I’m a realist!  I know that sometimes I may not hit the mark for you.  But, what I do know and this is my commitment to you, is that I will share with you the best of what I have.

I freakin’ love learning so much and I will share with you what I’m learning about, what distinctions I’ve made and what skills I’ve developed so that you can share in what I’ve learned to date.  I’ll share with you what goals I’m working on and what’s worked for me and not in the various Areas of Attention while traveling my own life’s journey.

Hopefully you can glean even a small helpful distinction heres and theres that helps you on your own life path.  That would be awesome!

Okay!  Until I blog again, which should be soon!  Laterz my pals!

Goals Management - My Frankenstein

I’ve been up all night because I get insomnia from time to time.  Sometimes it’s annoying as heck because I just want to sleep and I’m lying awake staring at the ceiling, BUT, last night was my favorite kind of insomnia.  Those are the nights I get SO MUCH done.  Yahhhhoooo!

My recent obsession has been to come up with a Goals Management system that works for me.  I’m currently frankensteining together a system that uses concepts from Franklin Covey, Tony Robbins’ Time of Your Life program, and David Allen’s Getting Things Done system (also known as GTD).

For eons I’ve been struggling with coming up with a system that works for me and I’m finally getting closer.

Trust the Process

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve gotten came from a good friend and informal mentor of mine, Noreen.  I met Noreen during my early years as an Aviation Maintenance Technician (the less technical and more familiar term would be grease monkey).  Noreen had already been in aviation for many years, so she knew a lot of people and had a lot of connections.  Whenever I had insecurities about something, I always went to Noreen for advice.  You have to understand, the aviation industry can be a brutal environment for a woman.  I’ve always been open to any recommendations; however, I paid especially close attention to Noreen.
