Hi! I’m Lleslle (pronounced “less-lee”) and, yup, my name is spelled correctly. No, it’s not a typo and no my Mom and Dad weren’t drunk when they filled out the paperwork on my birth certificate. (I’ll fill ya in sometime in the future about why my name is spelled the way it is, but for now, let’s chalk it up to having a creative Mom.)
First off, since this is supposed to be my biography I figured I’d write about me in a way that reflects who I am. I typically like to cut through all the surface stuff and get straight down to the nitty-gritty in most things (i.e. cut to the chase) so that’s how I’d like to approach my bio too.
So with that said, who am I? (Don’t worry, I’m not going to get all philosophical on ya…at least for now!) Heh, heh!
Here’s how I define myself these days:
- I’m an obsessive learner and an avid reader on subjects such as wealth accumulation, personal finances, success principles, spiritual laws, projects and tasks management, decluttering, health, life balance, and self-care.
- I love to: laugh, learn, read, be introspective, play on my computer, play in my planner, watch movies and hang out with my Dude (my boyfriend), my family and my friends (not all necessarily at the same time).
- I also love to share what I’ve learned because I feel like I’m going to pop when I keep it all to myself so I like to share the wealth of knowledge and learnings because (selfishly) I learn what I’m teaching on a deeper level and I get to get the happy-feelings back when people actually are benefiting by what I share with them.
- I sometimes like to use words that aren’t really English but they express what I am thinking or feeling for example hugeungous and gigantor are words I’ll often use to describe something as really big or large. For example, “I had a hugeungous pile of work to do today” or “That book was gigantor, it took me a whole month to read.”
- I like to use the word, “Dude” a lot. I call everyone Dude, even if you’re a chick. I’ll also use “Dude!” as an exclamation which I’ll use interchangeably with, “Cool!”
- I really like helping people and I get excited when people are reaching their goals.
So that’s me in a nutshell! Hopefully that gives you some insights into who I am as a person.
BUT, if you want to know some surface stuff about me, here’s that too:
- Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance & Accounting from UC Berkeley, CA
- Fulfilled a life-long dream that I had since I was 12 years old of working on a Star Wars film (Worked as the Animation Coordinator on Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones)
- Worked at the Lucas Companies (LucasArts Entertainment and Industrial Light & Magic) for ten years in the production department working on games such as Grim Fandango, Outlaws, and Rebel Assault II and movies such as (did I mention) Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and Peter Pan (although my REAL claim to fame is working on Deep Blue Sea because it was my first feature film I worked on and I LOVE sharks, although I didn’t rank enough to get a credit on the film. Darn!)
- Worked at Doublefine Productions as an Associate Producer on Psychonauts
- Currently working at the most awesome online animation school on the planet (if I do say so myself) AnimationMentor.com as Chief Operating Officer
- Got certified in the following coaching/counseling methodologies (because I find these methods extremely useful and very cool):

Hi- My name is Zoraida, pronounced, “Zō-ry’-duh”. I’m one of the Key Contributors for Goal Getter Girls here to give you insight on how to organize your space, time and goals! But before I give you insight on that, let me give you a little insight on me and my background.
Although I was not quite aware of it, my fascination with organization started at a very early age. I would sit for hours and watch my Engineer dad in his home office, labeling all his binders in the near-perfect, all-capital drafting letters that Engineers use in their drawings. He even labeled his stapler and tape dispenser! Everything had its place, including the sharpened pencils with big erasers, felt-tipped colored pens, various sized paper clips and the box of staples. I would watch and wait for any left over office supplies that he could pass down to me, and then I would take the miscellaneous supplies and emulate his office with my own stuff.
It was not surprising that I later followed my dad by entering a technical field that required a similar sense of organization as that of his own: Aviation Maintenance. Throughout the twelve years in the Aviation Maintenance industry, I’ve utilized my organizational skills which helped me land several exciting roles! I’ve worked for large corporations such as Rolls-Royce, where I was a key contributor on major projects including:
- Organizing the 2nd Annual Rolls-Royce Women’s Leadership Conference
- Core Team Member for Women’s Mentorship Program
- Core Team Member for Career Development Program
- Contributor for Family Work Life Balance Program
As fortunate as I was to be exposed to my dad’s engineering and technical background, I was just as fortunate to be exposed to my mom’s creative design background. This led me to pursue another fascination: creating spaces we love to surround ourselves with! Learning this skill has led me to such opportunities as meeting new people and even participating in TV’s 20/20 Program on Home Staging! What an interesting journey it has been for me!
After a long assessment of finding my passion and what would make me happy, I realized that I needed to align myself with what I am passionate about. Part of my passion is to show people how to creatively organize their time, space and goals. And just as Lleslle stated in her bio, I too love to share what I have learned along my journey. I can’t wait to show you some creative ways to organize your space so that it is not only a more efficient and cost effective set up, but also a space that you will enjoy being in.

Bonjour, hola, ciao! I’m Deedee and my main topics I’ll be chiming in on throughout the site is surrounding healthy living and beauty. I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Physiology back in ‘94. Now, I’m a wife, a mother, and I maintain a career working 40 hours a week, if not more. The need to balance each of these roles along with trying to keep a healthy lifestyle is quite the task.
Five years ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Losing that post pregnancy weight has taken me years (five, to be exact). Lack of energy and time was a big factor in that. Due to my genetics, I was never and will never be waif thin. I will always be “curvy” and I’m happy with that. Throughout my adolescent years, however, I was overweight (topping out at almost 180lbs during my Sophomore and Junior years in High School.) My weight has yo-yo’d throughout the years. But I feel, as long as I’m healthy and happy, I really don’t care what I weigh!
In mid-2007, I participated in my first half marathon (one of the most excruciating things I’ve put my body through.) That experience made me realize the importance in setting goals and sticking to them. With baby steps, I’ve managed to not only get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I now I weigh even less than my pre-pregnancy weight. (Okay, so maybe I care about my weight just a little.)
For me though, I feel that spirituality is a key to maintaining my sanity. I still have the “typical” issues that cause stress in a woman’s life- worrying about my child, my job, my husband, and my finances. Sometimes I don’t feel beautiful (geez, hormones can do a number on you.) Whether it be yoga, meditation, or in my case, prayers, whatever helps calm you and de-stress your life, use it!
I’ve found that friends, true friends, will keep you grounded. They are a key to keeping your beauty, both inside and out.
I’m still on the road to maintaining balance in my life, but over time, I hope to be a wise person that other women see as a role model.
Here are some things that have truly worked in my life to help me stay healthy both physically and emotionally:
- Exercise
- Eating right
- Having good support (friends, family, etc.)
- Meditation/praying
- Reminding yourself how blessed/lucky you are.
So as a contributor to GoalGetterGirls.com and being a Goal Getter Girl myself, I look forward to helping you get to your healthy lifestyle goals!
